As Allied Health Professionals, soft tissue specialists are deemed essential workers by the government under pain management healthcare providers. Hence we are happy to confirm to you we will remain open for patients requiring this pain management therapy treating:

We operate according to the latest Government and Public Health England guidance, which recommends additional buffer time between each patient for clinic cleaning, and risk assessment for use of surgical masks at each session when working with non-covid symptomatic patients and promote hand cleansing protocols.

Each patient is screened and triaged via questionnaire before arrival for their face to face appointment, following our risk assessment procedure.

In summary, we ensure that we:

I look forward to continuing to support patients in these testing times as addressing both physical and psychological stressors has never been more important and seeking swift intervention is key to avoiding long-term effects or deterioration developing further musculoskeletal, neuromuscular or psychological health conditions. Homecare advice is provided as standard for optimal recovery results.

I am available for physical consultation in:

Patients will be requested to wear a mask on entry unless exempt; to respect physical distancing when applicable and to arrive no more than 5-minutes early to the premises for their appointment.

For those having to self-isolate we know your rehab needs doesn't stop with the virus so I have set up a virtual appointment service where I can offer emergency or follow-up advice keeping us in some regular contact continuing to support you're efforts in keeping up existing homecare plans or new ailments. With guided manual massage techniques, stretches and exercise plans where necessary all provided via Skype or video-calling using your mobile device or laptop. Treatment advice is, as always, modified for the individual’s particular needs, abilities and environment (which would in fact be better understood with the online consultation taking place at home!) I hope this new access to ProActive advice gives you piece of mind.

Remember, many employee and private health insurances cover medical massage therapy. Level 4/5 SMRT practitioners are covered for reimbursement of treatment costs including Bupa and Aviva to name a few this also now includes virtual consultations, so it is worth checking with your employer what cover you are entitled to.
